The finish line is in sight! We are getting closer and closer to meeting this little girl. She continues to be healthy and head down, although she was “sunny side up” at our last appointment, so she’ll need to flip around that way. She moves so much, though, I’m not expecting her to stay in one position, good or bad, for long! We’re getting in lots of last minute prep like refreshing our infant CPR skills, and meeting with our doula, Kyla. Talking through everything with Kyla made everything start to feel real, and helped me start to replace some of my nerves with excitement. Pretty much everyone is expecting this baby to come fast and furiously.... we’ll see! We’re all also having some gut feelings that she’s coming early, but I hope not! As excited as I am to meet her, we’ve still got lots to do to feel ready around the house, and early means more time that mama has to go back to work! March 9th is what I’m hoping for... that is my grandma’s birthday and means I don’t have to go back to work for even a day! Sounds pretty ideal to me. :)
Physically, I’m a stereotypically super pregnant mama. Tired all the time, back aching all the time, moving around feels nearly impossible sometimes. Heartburn, etc., still going strong. But every bit of it is worth it! And it helps knowing my days of dealing with the discomfort are numbered.
