First Ear Infection

Well, we have now had a milestone come and go that we would have been happy to go without: Autumn's first ear infection (and our first ear infection experience as a family!) Autumn had been fighting a cold for about a week or so (we all were), and suddenly one evening she got extra fussy and wouldn't go down for her second nap without snuggling Grandma. When she woke up, she was lethargic and almost listless, and could barely keep her eyes open. Something was clearly wrong, so Dada and Mama took her in to Urgent Care right away, and the physician's assistant was able to immediately diagnose an ear infection. We got her on antibiotics right away (which she took like a champ!) and she was back to her normal self very quickly.  Poor baby girl! Mama and Grandma both had chronic ear infections as babies and young children, so we are hopeful she is not following suit. Fingers crossed for no more ear infections!
